An Act to enable the Wales Tourist Board to carry on abroad activities to promote tourism to and within Wales.
Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (3) of section 2 of the Development of Tourism Act 1969, the powers of the National Assembly for Wales under the other provisions of section 2 of that Act shall include the power to carry on any activities outside the United Kingdom for the purpose of encouraging people to visit Wales.

Nothing in this section shall—
affect the power of the British Tourist Authority to carry on any activities outside the United Kingdom for the purpose of encouraging people to visit Wales; or
prevent the National Assembly for Wales from acting on behalf of the Authority as mentioned in section 2(3) of the Development of Tourism Act 1969.
There shall be paid out of moneys provided by Parliament any increase attributable to this Act in the sums so payable under the provisions of the Development of Tourism Act 1969.
This Act may be cited as the Tourism (Overseas Promotion) (Wales) Act 1992 and shall come into force at the end of the period of two months beginning with the day on which it is passed.
