The measurements given are for dry salted skins. A shrinkage allowance of 2½ percent shall be added in the case of wet salted and 5 percent in the case of raw skin. - !! The skin having been evenly folded lengthwise and laid flat the length along back shall be measured from the root of the tail to the point where the skin of the front part of throat is the widest when measurement at right angles to the fold.
